Tovalea

After graduating from GEM Business School, Hélène began her career in hospitality in Marketing and Communication for the Prestige & Leisure subsidiary of Sodexo, within Bateaux Parisiens.Hélène set up the digital strategy for the group with the launch of the first online sales website for all of the brands of the division.Three years passed with the launch of innovations and the acquisition of new brands to integrate into the Sales and Marketing strategy.

When Hélène followed her husband, expatriated in Yemen, Sana’a, Hélène found a job in the most beautiful hotel, the Mövenpick Hotel Sana’a, which had been recently opened. The challenge lay in adapting to the culture, “I had the chance to discover, through work, a thriving culture and heritage”; and was challenged also on a daily basis, with the risk associated with the destination.Repatriated in emergency due to the situation in the country, Hélène then moved to Gabon. She held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at Le Méridien (Starwood). She had to face operational challenges to get sales off the ground, with the support of the teams she trained and developed. “In two and a half years, we managed to double the occupancy rate.”

Leaving Africa for Asia, in Shanghai she joined the Shangri-La Hotel (Pudong), a magnificent hotel that boasts of having more than 900 rooms and offering a real luxury service to their customers. Hélène took over the Sales team management, which she partly recruited and developed. From this experience in China, she keeps a unique and strong bond with the team members. Then Hélène encountered Tovalea and Valérie, who chased her for the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at the Hotel Barrière Le Fouquet’s Paris. An opportunity to work for one of the most beautiful Parisian hotels was not to be turned down. After two years, a reopening of the hotel, a repositioning and many projects, a new start was taken, in London, where Hélène decided to create her own consultancy in Hospitality Management (consulting and teaching) and to be trained as a professional coach.

The relationships developed with Valérie were then strengthened, project after project the partnership was set up. Hélène brings her knowledge of the Hospitality industry and its professions, her command of the luxury culture, as well as an international network developed over her assignments around the world.
